The perspective 

Today, there is an extraordinary wealth of handcrafted homeware. 

Yet much of it is not conceived, edited or presented through a contemporary design perspective.

Their cultural value is undeniable, but their design does not always align naturally with the requirements of contemporary architectural or interior projects. In a professional context, identifying the right pieces, envisioning them in a space, and integrating them with precision can quickly become complex.

At the same time, the design market is filled with beautiful objects that often feel interchangeable, detached from any real story, cultural depth, or living know-how.

Studio Gioia exists precisely at this crossroads : where these two realities meet, and where aesthetics and ethics move forward together.

Our philosophy

We believe in slower, more attentive, more intentional way of creating. 

One where design and craft are in dialogue, rather than opposition. 

Studio Gioia acts as a curatorial & creative studio, selecting singular handcrafted pieces that speak a contemporary design language while remaining deeply rooted in real know-how, materials and cultural heritage. 

We support projects from sourcing through to the integration of pieces in situ.

Each piece is chosen for its distinct visual signature, the precision of the hand behind it, and the living culture it carries, objects meant to last.

Studio Gioia works exclusively with partners who operate through small-scale artisanal production, respecting making rhythms, people, cultures and environments, while  ensuring fair compensation and supporting long-term local livelihoods.
